GC-205
:: GC-205 OCU ::

GC-205: Security, reliability, and range are key attributes for robots used in hazardous duty environments such as those faced by our military in Iraq and Afghanistan. Nomadio's GC-205, our wireless controller system designed for military robots, is a highly configurable control system built around a 2.4GHz bi-directional link. It employs digital spread spectrum technology for exceedingly reliable and secure control and telemetry. Applications include reconnaissance, bomb disposal, security, and public safety robots. Designed to support cost-effective "expendable" robots, it is seeing wide acceptance and deployment -- we have delivered over 2000 of the GC-205s for use by the U.S. Navy's Bombot.
:: Components ::
- N-Max Radio Technology - Allows the robot and controller to communicate bi-directionally, with high security and redundancy for challenging RF environments.
- Robot Control Unit - The RCU is a small (2” x 3”) box that includes the microprocessor, radio transceiver, sensor inputs and motor control.
- Operator Control Unit - The OCU is a handheld radio controller that allows a soldier to control an RCU-equipped robot.
- JAUS Compliant - Future controllers in the GC series wll will be JAUS compliant. This will allow universal control of JAUS compatible robots.
